 Stormi Henley: From Beauty Queen to Multitalented Creative

Early Life and Background

Stormi Bree Henley was born on December 6, 1990, in Crossville, Tennessee, USA. She is the daughter of Kip and Sissi Henley and has a sister named Darbi. Her father, Kip Henley, gained recognition by winning The Golf Channel's reality competition show, The Big Break II, in 2004. Stormi graduated from Cumberland County High School in 2009, where she was actively involved in sports like golf and soccer, and participated in theater productions. She also began playing the piano at the age of five, showcasing her musical talents early on. ​

Pageantry and Modeling Career

In 2008, Stormi entered the Miss Tennessee Teen USA pageant on a whim and won the title. She went on to represent Tennessee at the Miss Teen USA 2009 pageant held in Nassau, Bahamas, where she was crowned Miss Teen USA on July 31, 2009. Her win marked her as the second teenager from Tennessee to earn the national title. ​

Following her pageant success, Stormi embarked on a modeling career, signing with Photogenics Media in Los Angeles. She has modeled for renowned brands and publications, including Harper's Bazaar and Dolce & Gabbana. ​

Music and Acting Pursuits

Stormi's artistic talents extend beyond modeling. In 2011, she auditioned for Season 10 of American Idol, receiving a golden ticket to Hollywood Week but was eliminated in the first round. In 2012, she joined the music group U.G.L.Y., signed under Chris Brown's label, CBE. Although her time with the group was brief, she continued to write and produce her own music, often drawing inspiration from metaphors and personal experiences. 

Stormi has also ventured into acting, with appearances in various films and television shows. She played the role of Dvora in an episode of Brooklyn Nine-Nine in 2015 and starred as Sara in the sci-fi film 2307: Winter's Dream (2016). Her other acting credits include roles in the short films Midland (2015) and Shiny (2016), as well as the film Hot Water (2021). ​

Personal Life

In July 2017, Stormi welcomed her daughter, Gravity Blue Smith, with model Lucky Blue Smith. The couple has since separated. In early 2024, Stormi was briefly linked to musician Joe Jonas, but their relationship ended in June of the same year. ​

Stormi is known for her dedication to maintaining a positive and healthy lifestyle. She enjoys activities like running, hiking, golfing, and skiing, and emphasizes the importance of setting boundaries on social media to foster a supportive environment.
